label chemical containers
-
perform initial and refresher Haz Com / Right-To-Know Training
-
implement a sophisticated bar code inventory

News

In 2004, NJ PEOSHA adopted Federal OSHA
Hazard Communication for public employees,
including schools, waste treatment facilities
and municipalities. State Inspectors are now
beginning compliance inspections of municipal
public agencies with steep fines for
non-compliance with a wide variety of new safety
regulations that were not present just a couple
of years ago.
Hazard Communication requires
a much more comprehensive hazardous substance
inventory compared to the NJ Worker RTK Survey, additional training of new employee
groups, and additional labeling requirements.
EHSI can sort out the confusion and make sure
your NJ municipal agency stays in compliance.
Did You
Know?

Under SARA Title III, Community RTK reports,
including state-specific Tier II reports, can be requested
from your company by government
officials at any time of the year, not
just March 1.
When that occurs, Federal regulations require
RTK reporting of ALL hazardous substances at zero (0
lbs)
quantity threshold! That means you
must report all chemicals you have an MSDS for
regardless of the quantity. Can you do
that with your current system? EHSI's
inventorying methods and expert software get
this done easily.
